Volunteering

Volunteering with the Children's Bereavement Centre is flexible, rewarding, and designed to fit around you. With rolling opportunities available throughout the year, you can pick and choose how and when you get involved.

There’s no regular commitment required*, and a wide range of roles to suit different skills, interests, and availability.

We are a small staff team but we’re able to meet growing demand for our services thanks to our dedicated, skilled, and compassionate volunteers. Our volunteer roles include:

  • Volunteer Administrators

  • Volunteer Fundraising Assistants

  • Community Volunteers

  • Group Bereavement Volunteers

  • 1:1 Bereavement Volunteers (*21 or over. 12 month commitment)

Some of our 1:1 Bereavement Volunteers are currently training to be counsellors and completing their 100-hour placement with us. We aim to provide all volunteers with high-quality training opportunities, along with ongoing mentoring and support, to ensure the best possible volunteering experience.

What our volunteers say:

“It’s so worthwhile just knowing you can help out in a very small way.”

“I absolutely love being involved with the volunteering and being with such brilliant and supportive people.”

“The training offered before you start is very comprehensive and gives you the confidence you need to start volunteering.”

If you’re interested in volunteering, please visit our Volunteer Opportunities page and 1:1 Volunteer Opportunities page to see which roles we are currently recruiting for.

If you have any questions about volunteering, please don’t hesitate to call 01636 551739 and contact Savannah
