Christmas Jumper Challenge 2026

We would absolutely love for you to join us! Would your office, school, shop, or community group like to take part in our CBC Christmas Jumper Challenge?

All you need to do to support this campaign is to wear your favourite Christmas jumper on Friday, 11th December, 2026 and donate what you can (suggested £2) to help raise money for a local charity.

The challenge

🎄 Get your team together in Christmas jumpers or Festive fancy dress

🎄 Have your camera ready and submit your most Christmassy photo to Katie Gibson before Midday on Friday 11th December, 2026.

🎄 Our fundraising team will chose the 'Most Festive Photo' and you will win the 2026 trophy, plus, your photo will also be used for the Christmas Jumper Challenge 2027 promo!

How will we use your donations?...

£10 could fund a comfort bear that we give to young children at their bereavement counselling sessions

£25 would pay for memory books used to help children remember their special someone who has died

£200 would change one child's life by funding x8 one-to-one bereavement support sessions

Make A Referral

We accept referrals from professionals and families for children aged between 3-18 years affected by the death or terminal illness of someone important to them. Our service is available across all of Nottinghamshire, the City of Lincoln, and the North and South Kesteven districts of Lincolnshire.
How to Explain Funerals & Cremations to a Child

It is important to use clear and simple language when describing funerals, burials or cremation. Here is our advice for explaining these to children
Play Therapy

Play Therapy helps young children experiencing trauma due to their bereavement communicate their feelings and work through their grief using the natural form of play
Training for Professionals

We offer a number of training sessions for professionals, who want to build on their knowledge and skills to support children and young people affected by the death or terminal illness of someone important to them.
Free Specialist Bereavement Support for Children & Families

The Children's Bereavement Centre is a registered charity that provides free specialist support for children and young people aged 3 -18 years as well as their parents or carers who are affected by the death or terminal-illness of someone important to them.
