Training session 1: An introduction to Childhood Bereavement and Grief

Aim:  For anyone who comes into contact with children or young people in a school or other organisation. You will increase your understanding of the emotional impact of bereavement and loss on children and young people and develop simple skills to support them in their grief.

Location: Via zoom/teams or onsite at your school/organisation

Training session 2: Working creatively with bereaved children to support difficult emotions

Aim:  For anyone who is directly supporting children and/or young people i.e. Mental Health Lead, SENCO.  You will increase your knowledge and learn practical skills to increase your confidence and different ways to work with bereaved children and/or young people.

Dates & Times:

Aim:  For anyone who is already working with or would like to work with children or young people to deepen an understanding of the emotional impact of bereavement and provide practical tools to improve skills to better support children or young people affected by bereavement and loss. 

Cost: £120 per person includes lunch and refreshments

Aim:  For anyone who is seeking to improve their practical skills to better support children or young people affected by bereavement and loss.  You will increase your understanding of how special play sessions can help children who have had difficult life experiences which are impacting on their learning and behaviour.
