We have worked with companies as their Charity of the Year on a long-term or annual basis, so have a wealth of ideas to add to your own to help make any partnership a success. Some of our corporate sponsors hold events such as charity balls, sports days, or their staff will do something like a bake sale or take on an individual challenge such a marathon or a parachute jump. The possibilities are endless! It might be that sponsorship is the right option for your company. We have a range of therapeutic activities and social events that directly benefit children and families, for which we are seeking sponsorship of a few hundred to £6,000 and staff can also get involved on the day too. There are also fundraising events including our successful Dragon Boat Race in Newark and the opportunity to donate directly towards specific services. All can demonstrate your commitment to your community as well as providing a range of marketing and PR opportunities. Some businesses choose to support us by Payroll Giving. Very simply, it's a tax-free charitable giving that comes directly from your pay. Payroll giving donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 donated will only cost 80p, and for higher rate tax payers it costs just 60p. Providing that your company offers Payroll Giving, to sign up involves completed a form which is normally obtained from the Payroll Department or Personnel. Setting up a Payroll Giving Scheme is easy to set up. Employers simply need to sign a contact with a Payroll Giving Agency. This is a legal requirement and provides an audit trail for HM Revenue & Customs as tax relief is being given on the gift. Donating products, discounted services or professionals advice is an easy and valuable way to support us.
