Our Team

Our team have a wide range of experience, skills and knowledge around bereavement and loss and are dedicated to supporting the families that need us. We are complemented by our hugely valued group of volunteers and Board of Trustees.

We all work together in many different roles to ensure that the charity provides a passionate and professional service for families across the region.

The Children’s Bereavement Centre is run by a team of friendly, supportive and professional people who are committed to helping children with their grieving process, whether that’s been bought on by death or the terminal illness diagnosis of someone close.

The Centre is open to children aged between 3 and 18 and offers a welcoming and safe environment for them and their families to receive the help and guidance they need.

Our team is made up of our staff, volunteers, our trustees, our ambassadors and our patron.

This video explains a little bit more about the work we do. Thank you to Global's Make Some Noise campaign for creating this for us.

Are your children taking part in our sponsored walk?

On Sunday, July 17th, the beautiful woodland trail in the grounds of Kelham Hall will be open for our sponsored walk.

The entry fee is £2.50 per child (under 12's) and we will be encouraging everyone that takes part to get sponsored with a target of £22.

You can choose to walk the 2.2KM route once, twice or 3 times, strolling through tree tunnels with views of the Victorian country house set in 44 acres of idyllic parkland beside the River Trent. The whole family can take part as the walk suits all ages and abilities and dogs are also welcome on a lead.

And that's not all!! To celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee there will be lots of royal related items to spot along the trail, with a small gift for the children that find all the clues and solve the puzzle.

How to enter the 2.2 KM sponsored walk -

- Register here sign up form

- Pay your £2.50 entry fee here

Children that hit their sponsorship target of £22 will be presented with a Quids 4 Kids medal.

Throughout the day you can enjoy live music, entertainment and children's activities including inflatables and face painting. And the parking is free!!

Bring a blanket and your own picnic or choose from food and drink from local suppliers including The Renaissance at Kelham Hall.

Would you like to take part in the old skool sports day?

Teams will compete against each other in classic sports day races, including potato and spoon race and tug of war. Who will be awarded the 2022 champion?!

Come and cheer on your friends & family or enter a team in the races. You can download your team entry form here

Proceeds from the Old Skool Sports Day element will be split between the Children's Bereavement Centre and Newark Round Table.
