Training session 1: An Introduction to Childhood Bereavement and Grief

Aim: To enable parents/carers and family members to increase their understanding of childhood grief and learn helpful suggestions/practical ideas to better support their children and themselves when someone important to them has died.

Saturday 14th September, Church of Promise, Newark. NG24 2AH. 10am-12.30pm.

Training session 2 : Developing practical and creative skills to support your child/children’s grief

Aim: To increase the knowledge of parents/carers to develop practical and creative skills to help their child cope with difficult feelings/memories and create calm to help support self-regulation.

Saturday 12^th October 2024, Oak Tree Children’s Centre, Jubilee Way South, Mansfield, NG18. Time: 10am-12.30.

It is important to use clear and simple language when describing funerals, burials or cremation. Here is our advice for explaining these to children

Play Therapy helps young children experiencing trauma due to their bereavement communicate their feelings and work through their grief using the natural form of play
Free Specialist Bereavement Support for Children & Families

The Children's Bereavement Centre is a registered charity that provides free specialist support for children and young people aged 3 -18 years as well as their parents or carers who are affected by the death or terminal-illness of someone important to them.
