The Saturday peer support group provides an opportunity for children and young people aged 5 -12 years old, who have been affected by terminal illness or the death of someone close, to meet others who have been through similar experiences.

The group meets on the first Saturday of the month at Hawtonville Young People’s Centre, Windsor Road, Newark NG24 4HX at 10am – 12pm.

Supported by staff and volunteers, children can take part in a range of social and therapeutic activities aimed at helping them explore their feelings, create memories, build confidence, meet others, and have fun.

“The Saturday Group is good because we can talk about things that have happened in our lives and talk about our feelings.”
