Sue became aware of the Children's Bereavement Centre over 8 years ago as her role as a solicitor as Family Law specialist dealing with all issues from the breakdown of relationships and actively sought some advice about bereavement services the charity offered when her own children's father died.

"I have experienced first-hand the devastating impact bereavement has on families with my own children who were bereaved of their father when they were 11 and 14.  As a Family Law Specialist, I also witness how families find it difficult to cope when a close relative is no longer part of a family unit.

The support I received from staff at the centre was invaluable in helping guide my children through their emotions at such a difficult time and I am happy to be able to give something back by being a Trustee and helping where I can with fundraising."
