Nottinghamshire Wheeler:

June 2020 (awaiting exact date)

Join in with the Epic route 77 miles or the Standard route 45 miles, under 16’s go free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Starting out from Southwell Racecourse and after cutting through Southwell itself we head out north, winding through quaint English villages on the gently undulating terrain. After passing through Sutton-on-Trent, Standard riders will point their steeds west towards Tuxford, while Epic riders continue on a northerly track. The Epic route takes in more of glorious Nottinghamshire: crossing railway lines and canals, bisecting swathes of pastureland — you really begin to get a sense of the area.

After reaching Retford we work our way south, dropping down through the lovely village of Egmanton then continue to Farnsfield before finally heading east again through Southwell and back home.

The Arrow Lincolnshire:

May 2020 (awaiting exact date)

Three route options, Epic route 100 miles, Standard route 81 miles and Short route 52 miles. Under 16’s again ride for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Taking its name from the typically flat lands in Lincolnshire and the surrounding area, you’ll glide through the level planes on this sportive like a dart through the air – save for an unlikely uphill test that waits for tired legs at the end of the ride.

You’ll start out on Market Rasen Racecourse and head south, straight onto quiet roads. The first part of the course points more downhill than the even gradient the area is famous for – so make the most of the slightly sloping angle as you pass through sleepy village after sleepy village, linked by unspoilt country lanes. Heading towards Lincoln, the first climb of the day will present itself just after Canwick. It’s steep but quick and easy to deal with after a little exertion.

Land’s End To John O’Groats:

25 August – 6 September 2020

Pedal 1000 miles, end to end, on this classic challenge from Land’s End to John O’Groats, the furthest possible distance in the British Isles. This is a classic challenge that is on many a cyclist’s ‘to do’ list. Covering more than 12 Counties, this is one of the toughest fundraising cycle events available.

From the rocky cliffs and pounding seas of Land’s End, through the rolling hills of Dartmoor, through the stunning mountains of the Lake District and along the Lochs of Great Glen to our finish line at the Northernmost point of the UK mainland, LEJOG will test you to your limits, but it is the most fabulous way to see the UK and one of the biggest achievements you are every likely to accomplish!
